Rachel Mcdonald

Counselor, MA, MHC-LP (She/Her), Serving Binghamton and surrounding area

“I am currently accepting new clients. I work with individuals of all ages, families, and couples! I come from a person-centered, integrative therapeutic perspective and utilize evidence-based practices to help support my clients. My therapeutic style is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on our therapeutic relationship and your individual strengths. I help clients to build self-compassion and emotional acceptance while also offering practical tools you can use in your day-to-day life. I hope that my clients leave each session feeling supported and confident.

I believe that therapy works best as a collaborative process- we will work together to establish goals that are meaningful to you. I will tailor our sessiosn to fit your individual needs. I have experience with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and other interpersonal concerns. I have also been trained in the Gottman Method for couples work.

When I am not working, I enjoy reading, baking, being outside, and spending time with my family and friends.”
