Ben Diyenno

Pre-Licensed Professional, MS, MHC-LP    (He/Him)

At True Perspective, my goals are to help clients understand the role emotions play in the human experience and condition, draw attention to distorted thinking patterns that are both unhealthy and unhelpful, and provide opportunities in and out of session for clients to discover a sense of existential meaning and purpose. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment, and Existential Therapies (Logotherapy, Yalom’s Givens of Life, etc.) to help clients find new ways of thinking as well as new ways of finding meaning in their surrounding environment and community.

I have experience in treating anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma related disorders (PTSD), personality disorders, and grief and loss. I work with my clients to resolve a wide range of life’s struggles, including interpersonal conflicts, finding healthy ways of relating to family members and/or colleagues, loss of a loved one, and loneliness.
It is my belief that we all deserve an opportunity to examine the means that were available to us when we were painting the portrait, writing the narrative, acting the part, composing the music, or sculpting the vessel that would become the piece of art we know in ourselves as our personality and sense of self.
